Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our agribusiness team at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. in the Brandon area. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing electrical support for our facilities in Manitoba.
Key Responsibilities- Perform repairs and maintenance to water wells, cisterns, and systems, with a focus on minimizing production downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical code specifications, drawings, and blueprints to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, case assemblies, and other electrical components.
- Repair and troubleshoot production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Complete preventative maintenance schedules, work orders, and equipment tracking to maintain a high level of facility efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of the preventative maintenance program by submitting recommendations for improvement.
- Provide on-the-job training on ventilation controls, alarm systems, and other equipment as required.
- Conduct assessments and audits of facilities and equipment to identify areas for improvement.
- Document and record all finished and unfinished scheduled work orders.
- Seek out and apply best practices to correct deficiencies and improve overall facility performance.
- Journeyman Electrician license in the province of Manitoba.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently with all operations.
- Self-directed and motivated team player with excellent computer knowledge.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a farm atmosphere.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and ability to work at various heights and in confined spaces.
- Ability to live and teach our Maple Leaf Leadership Values.
- Previous maintenance experience and experience working in the hog industry would be an asset.
