Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment, and identify and report any maintenance needs.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Carry out tasks such as carrying equipment, operating shut-off valves, and maintaining inventory.
  • Communicate daily activities and any issues that arise to other shifts using approved communication protocols.
  • Display knowledge and skills in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Perform tasks such as painting, minor drywall repair, and light bulb replacement, and ensure thorough cleanup of work areas.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, plumbing, and electrical components, and replace switches and outlets.
  • Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system when performing maintenance work.
  • Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, and external sprinkler systems.
  • Display basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting.
  • Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is an asset.
  • Driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience is not required.
