About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facility Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Four Seasons Resort Whistler. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including performing routine maintenance tasks, responding to emergencies, and providing excellent customer service to our guests and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including daily meter readings, pool water chemical testing, and filter changing on HVAC equipment
  • Respond to emergencies, including fire alarms and building management system alarms
  • Make minor repairs to kitchen and laundry equipment, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, and make minor purchases as required
  • Provide general assistance to skilled trade persons, including mechanics, electricians, carpenters, and plumbers
  • Perform daily inspections on building systems, including boiler room, water entry, and HVAC
  • May move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Perform all other tasks or projects assigned by hotel management

Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school
  • Trades certification or engineering education is strongly preferred, but experience in maintenance may substitute
  • Minimum 1 year of building maintenance experience
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Excellent commitment to service and teamwork
  • Ability to obtain a clean criminal record check
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays
  • Great attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
