About the Role

The Strategic Procurement Expert for Global Operations will play a pivotal role in elevating the efficiency and effectiveness of our global procurement processes. Acting as a dynamic change agent, this role is responsible for catalyzing the operationalization of CAE's procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, ensuring seamless operations across our procurement landscape.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Procurement Experience: 8-10 years of progressive experience in procurement operations, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence, process optimization, and strategic initiatives. Experience in a global procurement environment is preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Proven ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.
  • Change Management: Strong change management skills with experience leading organizational change initiatives. Ability to act as a change agent, driving transformational change within the procurement function and across the organization.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Experience in articulating and executing strategic visions for procurement operations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Experience in stakeholder management and transparent communication practices.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in procurement systems and technologies, with the ability to support the implementation and optimization of P2P systems. Experience leveraging technologies as enablers to automate and streamline procurement operations.
