About This Role

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of suppliers and subcontractors to meet program requirements, while mitigating CAE's risk.

  • Lead commercial evaluations of subcontractors' proposals with a multi-disciplinary team composed of specialists from engineering, software, project, and operational groups as applicable.
  • Negotiate subcontract agreements within technical scope, schedule, and budget allocation, including flowdown of specific Program Terms and Conditions.
  • Draft subcontract agreements in line with company commercial guidelines, which may include complex licensing arrangements.
  • Monitor subcontractors' progress and performance to ensure timely and complete delivery of procured goods & services in conformity with technical and commercial requirements.
  • Exercise state remedies where subcontractors' performance is deficient and lead disputes resolution in a timely manner.
  • Provide regular reports to Global Strategic Sourcing Senior Management.
Required Skills and Qualifications

This position requires strong hands-on knowledge and experience in international purchasing practices, contracts, and dispute resolution. A minimum of 5-8 years of Contracts or Subcontract Management experience is mandatory.

Knowledge of the aerospace simulation industry and standard procurement tools (ERP system) is considered an asset. The ideal candidate will also be willing to travel and work flexible schedules.
