Job Description
The Director of Patient Care Operations will be responsible for leading the clinical teams in the acute care units, ensuring high-quality patient care and excellent outcomes. This role will involve managing day-to-day operations, supervising staff, and promoting a positive work culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise clinical areas, including staffing patterns, patient flow, and resource allocation.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and statistics for patients and department personnel.
- Ensure departments operate within budget and align with organizational priorities.
- Supervise staff and support departmental communication and development.
- Identify and support educational initiatives that align with operational and strategic outcomes.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of leadership experience in a hospital environment.
- Experience managing within a unionized environment with knowledge of collective bargaining processes.
Salary
$116,017 - $128,907 (annual)
