About the Role

This Sales Director position reports directly to the VP of Sales and is responsible for leading the Saskatoon branch, setting sales and performance goals, mentoring and coaching a sales and operations team. You will drive revenue and profit growth for the Saskatoon branch, working closely with the sales and support teams to achieve high standards in sales skills and product knowledge.

  • Sales Growth: Drive sustainable, profitable growth of the branch in traditional core businesses and new areas.
  • Customer-Facing Presence: Build trust with customers by learning industry and products, sharing knowledge with key customers. Travel required within Saskatoon and surrounding areas to meet customers and prospective customers.
  • People Leadership: Effectively develop, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams (territory sales professionals, retail sales professionals, operations managers, warehousing and logistics staff, service technicians).
  • P&L Responsibility: Ensure all operating and sales processes are implemented, including sales forecasting, budgeting/accounting, cash flow, staffing, and payroll.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven sales and business development experience, preferably in B2B or B2G environments.
  • 5-10 years of experience managing the P&L of a growth-oriented business.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong leadership ability to motivate, train, and manage for results.
  • Ability to develop market, sales, and customer growth strategies.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven organization and multitasking skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
