Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and respond to the spiritual needs of patients and families in a non-judgmental and compassionate manner.
  • Provide guidance and resources to facilitate clients on their healing journey.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement culturally sensitive care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance spiritual care skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Active member of a traditional healing environment, with experience in a healthcare setting an asset.
  • A combination of education and experience as recognized by Indigenous Health will be considered.
  • Good standing within community spiritual tradition.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Self-reflective and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and possess integrity and excellent work ethic.
Working Conditions
  • Able to work within a large geographic area.
  • May be exposed to traumatic events, grief, and loss, and mental health stress.
