Job Title: Healing Plan Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Indigenous Women's Healing Centre is seeking a skilled Healing Plan Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing case management activities for residents/offenders, working with them to confront and overcome challenges that have contributed to their difficulties and conflict with the justice system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete follow-ups of Correctional Plans/Healing Plans
  • Work with residents/offenders to develop life skills in their community environment
  • Prepare reports in accordance with case management responsibilities
  • Assess and manage risk, and develop relapse prevention techniques
  • Provide counseling and support to residents/offenders
  • Form effective relationships and gain trust with residents/offenders
  • Understand and apply Indigenous cultural practices and approaches
  • Collaborate with other service teams to achieve successful reintegration

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Social Services/Criminal Justice or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Knowledge of Indigenous issues and culturally relevant approaches
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
