Job Summary

The Healing Plan Coordinator plays a vital role in the Eagle Woman's Lodge team, providing case management activities for residents/offenders. This includes completing follow-ups of Correctional Plans/Healing Plans, working with residents/offenders to confront and overcome personal difficulties, and facilitating self-awareness, self-worth, and self-determination within the Indigenous context.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized case plans to support residents/offenders in achieving their goals.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to monitor progress and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with residents/offenders to identify and address underlying issues that may be contributing to their difficulties.
  • Provide education and support to residents/offenders on life skills, such as program participation, behavior observation, and report preparation.
  • Work with community resources to identify and access services that support successful reintegration.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to ensure effective support for residents/offenders.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Social Services/Criminal Justice with at least 2 years' experience and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a related area.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous issues and culturally relevant approaches and practices.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment practices, risk management, and relapse prevention techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a service team.
  • Ability to speak an Indigenous language is a definite asset.
Working Conditions

The Healing Plan Coordinator will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. The ability to work effectively in a team and maintain confidentiality is essential. A Class 5 Manitoba Driver's license is required.
