LEAP Legal Software is a leading developer and provider of cloud-based legal practice management software for small law firms. As a Sales Engineer at LEAP, you will be part of a highly motivated and growing team based in Toronto, ON. Our company has over 600 employees and has offices in Canada, USA, Australia, and the UK, with more than 57,000 users worldwide.

We are currently recruiting for a Sales Engineer to join our team and help us capitalize on the growing demand for our software in the Canadian market. The ideal candidate will have thorough experience in legal bookkeeping and a strong understanding of accounting principles.

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for supporting the National Sales team in handling accounting enquiries presented by prospects during the sales process. This includes working closely with decision-makers and bookkeepers to understand how our software can assist their law firms. The candidate will also be responsible for responding to prospects' accounting and technical requests, including data inquiries, Level 1 and 2 support, and API inquiries.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with professionals within the company to ensure solutions are available for projects and working properly
  • Providing detailed specifications for proposed solutions, including time and scope involved
  • Liaising with post-sales implementation and data migration teams to disclose customers' needs to set the correct implementation expectation
  • Establishing a framework for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitating their collaboration
  • Documenting and monitoring requirements needed to institute proposed updates in relation to customer experience
  • Working alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives

Requirements for the position include:

  • 5+ years of legal bookkeeper accountant experience or equivalent accounting experience
  • Experience with Canadian legal trust accounts
  • QuickBooks bookkeeping experience
  • Experience with Canadian law society and financial year-end audits
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Sales and demo experience preferred
  • Project development and leadership skills are preferred
  • IT and cloud infrastructure experience is preferred
  • Understanding of business analysis techniques and processes is beneficial
  • Work experience in analyzing computer software is beneficial

Our estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
