Position Summary

As a key member of the hotel team, the Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization in guest rooms and common areas. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure guest rooms are cleaned to a high standard, including dusting, vacuuming, and restocking amenities.
  • Meet or exceed cleaning quotas to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Report any damage or maintenance issues to management promptly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, following all standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with cleaning common areas, such as boardrooms and public spaces, as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of guest room products and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Comply with health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Education and Qualification Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience is required, with a preference for hotel environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull moderate weight (minimum of 11.5 kg or 25 lbs).
  • Ability to multitask and meet daily quotas.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required.

Work Environment Considerations:

  • Work within a 24/7 operation, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to submit to a criminal record check with results acceptable to our organization.
