Job Summary

As a Room Attendant with Great Canadian Entertainment, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our hotel guests. Under the guidance of the Hotel Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that guest rooms are exceptionally clean and inviting, and that all necessary supplies are readily available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of guest rooms as assigned, adhering to high standards of quality and service.
  • Meet the standard of cleaning sixteen (16) guest rooms per shift, ensuring that all rooms are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for occupancy.
  • Report any damage or inefficiencies to management prior to releasing a room for occupancy, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly and efficiently.
  • Respond in a courteous and welcoming manner to guest questions and requests for supplies, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Operate cleaning equipment in a safe manner, following all standard operating procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of boardrooms as assigned, ensuring that all areas are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for use.
  • Ensure that inventory of guest room products is updated prior to releasing the room, ensuring that all necessary supplies are readily available.
  • Clean other common areas within the hotel when requested by management on an as needed basis, and when possible.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all guests and staff.

Education and Qualification Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience is required, with preference given to hotel environment.
  • Customer service experience is required, with a focus on providing exceptional service to guests.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 11.5 kg or 25 lbs) is required, ensuring that all cleaning tasks can be completed safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to multi-task and achieve daily quotas is essential, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and on time.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to ensure that all guest requests and concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently.
  • Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment is required, ensuring that all cleaning tasks can be completed safely and efficiently.
  • Must have a safety mindset for self and others, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed in a safe and healthy environment.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset, but not required.

Work Environment Considerations:

  • Work within a 24/7 operation, with the ability to work flexible hours when required (days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays).
  • Will be required to submit to a criminal record check, with results acceptable to our organization, standards and position.
