Job Title: Full-time Hostel Attendant

The Parkdale Hostellerie is seeking a highly motivated and organized Full-time Hostel Attendant to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Welcoming and greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answering and directing incoming calls, as well as informing guests of hotel rates and services
  • Making and confirming reservations for guests, ensuring proper room allocation and registration
  • Verifying guest information and payment methods, and imprinting credit cards for authorization
  • Issuing room keys and directing guests to their rooms, while maintaining accurate records of guest room bookings
  • Computing guest billings and posting charges to guest rooms and house accounts
  • Listening and responding to guest queries and requests, both in-person and via email or phone
  • Liaising with necessary staff, including cleaners and maintenance, to address any problems or complaints made by guests
  • Cleaning all assigned guest rooms, including stripping and making beds, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness are consistently maintained throughout the hostel
  • Highlighting any maintenance issues in a timely manner to managers, and completing and maintaining incident reports, daily activity reports, or other reports requested by management
  • Reviewing accounts and charges, processing accurate payment of guest's booking, and informing cleaners when rooms have been vacated and are ready for cleaning
  • Monitoring visitors to the hotel, enforcing rules and policies, and maintaining a neat and orderly front desk and reception area
