About the Job

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the Stollery Children's Hospital.

Job Summary

As a PICU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to critically ill children and their families. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to promote best clinical practices, education, research, and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients in the PICU, prioritizing their needs and managing complex situations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet each patient's unique needs.
  • Conduct health assessments, administer medications, and perform various medical procedures as required.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
  • Pediatric experience and knowledge of critical care principles are highly desirable.
Salary and Benefits
