Pediatric Social Work Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Social Work Specialist to join our team at the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide a range of social work services to patients and their families, including psychosocial assessments, resource-based interventions, individual, group, and family treatment, risk screening, counseling, case management, and coordination.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate individual to work collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care. You will have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will have experience working in pediatric inpatient, ambulatory, critical care, and emergency settings, and will possess strong advocacy skills, with the ability to navigate complex community systems. A bachelor's degree in Social Work is required, and active registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) is essential.
Indigenous training and cultural awareness is also a requirement, as well as expertise in adjustment disorder counseling and crisis management interventions. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills are an asset, as is fluency in a second language.
