Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care while working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer safe and effective nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and nursing care standards.
  • Provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations while ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
  • Demonstrated excellent assessment, organization, and patient care skills along with the ability to communicate findings in a concise and accurate manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating priorities and workloads.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year emergency nursing experience within the last two years.
  • Preference will be given to those with certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Certified Emergency Nurse (C.N.A. or C.N.E.). Acute/Critical Care experience within the last two years.
Salary and Benefits

Estimated annual salary: $71,400 - $94,200.
