We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at PreCon Precast Limited. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing our maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a high-performing maintenance team to ensure they meet objectives and adhere to company guidelines.
  • Develop and implement shift schedules while managing labor resources to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment through compliance with company policies and Health and Safety Program.
  • Develop and maintain a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) program/schedule to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Schedule both internal and external work to optimize planned downtime and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors to ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with manufacturing codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems are undertaken.
  • Assist Operations Manager and Senior Management with establishing and implementing operating and capital budgets.
  • Manage the process of introducing new machinery, plant, and equipment from specification to full installation.
  • Manage the process of disposing of obsolete machinery, plant, and equipment from agreement to write-off to physical removal and safe disposal.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions to maintain continuous production.
  • Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
  • Develop, implement, and manage work associated with key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and machine performance.
Requirements
  • Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree.
  • Minimum five years plant maintenance/facility maintenance experience with a minimum of two years in a leadership capacity.
  • Extensive plant level experience with significant proven people management experience.
  • Completed a fully indentured apprenticeship with a mechanical/electrical/electronic discipline.
  • Technical capability and understanding.
  • Familiarity with OHSA standards relating to industrial and construction operations.
  • Experience with PLC controls, PC's, PM, and TPM systems.
  • Experience in managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for maintenance.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
