We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading our distribution center operations, ensuring seamless execution of our business plan, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of warehouse associates to achieve exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
- Develop and execute annual financial and operating plans to meet or exceed business targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, leveraging best practices and resources to drive efficiency and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and company policies, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Develop and execute a continuous improvement plan to reduce accident and injury frequency, promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
- Identify and seize profitable business opportunities for our customers and Penske, driving growth and customer satisfaction.
- Lead efforts to improve fleet and equipment utilization, maintenance availability, and fuel efficiency, contributing to equipment specification and building strong relationships with vendors.
- 4-6 years of related functional experience, with 3+ years of managerial or supervisory experience in distribution center management.
- High School degree or equivalent required, with a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present in front of others and demonstrate active listening skills.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
