About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Director to join our team at Equinox Engineering Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the energy sector, focusing on natural gas processing, carbon capture, renewable energy, power generation, and petrochemical projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring consistent growth in clientele and ensuring Equinox Engineering remains prequalified and primed for bidding.
  • Lead the creation of compelling proposals and presentations, highlighting our differentiators of quality, technical expertise, and cost reduction.
  • Act as a bridge between the Business Development Team, Estimating Team, and Project Managers, especially during bid preparation and submission.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to seize market opportunities and gather market insights.
Requirements
  • 15 years or more of experience in Business Development with a strong understanding of the EPC/EPCM, fabrication, and construction for projects in the energy sector.
  • A seasoned networker with established and productive relationships within the energy and environmental sectors.
  • Solid understanding of client needs, combined with standout sales acumen, especially in the realms of business development and energy-focused marketing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in crafting and supervising compelling proposals, coupled with the ability to develop and deliver persuasive presentations.
  • Articulate communicator with a natural aptitude for fostering relationships and driven by a proactive sales ethos.
  • Skillfully adept at navigating the technicalities and commercial aspects of contracts, particularly within bid and negotiation scenarios.
  • Academic credentials in a relevant technical or business discipline are an added advantage.
