Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced leader to fill the position of Executive Director. In this role, you will oversee the strategic direction of our organization, ensuring alignment with our mission and values. You will lead a small team of professionals and work closely with municipalities, funders, and community partners to drive positive change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Strategy: Lead our organizational strategy, ensure alignment with our mission, and act as the primary spokesperson at the provincial and national level.
  • Program Development & Oversight: Oversee the strategy, design, and delivery of capacity-building grants, programs, and services to municipalities across British Columbia.
  • Board Relations & Governance: Act as a liaison between the Board of Directors and staff, provide regular updates, and ensure alignment with the Board's vision.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, including staff management, administration, and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role within a non-profit or community-focused organization.
  • Formal education in planning, public health, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Proven ability to build respectful working relationships with local and provincial Indigenous peoples, communities, and nations.
  • Strong understanding of healthy community principles, sustainability, and municipal engagement.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
