About the Role

We are seeking a part-time Caretaker to join our team at Tribe Management in Guelph, Ontario. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a 100-unit residential townhouse complex, working closely with other onsite staff to maintain a high standard of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative work, including procedures and instructions from the Property Manager
  • Cooperating with onsite staff to ensure a high standard of professionalism
  • Handling move-in/move-out and bank deposit processes
  • Arranging and organizing vendors and maintenance
  • Cleaning common areas and assisting with minor repairs
  • Performing minor plumbing repairs
  • Basic landscaping, including lawn mowing and weeding
  • Issuing purchase orders and supervising contractors
  • Preparing incident reports and dealing with emergencies
  • Scheduling and supervising move-ins and outs
  • Maintaining accurate tenant files and collecting rents

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of caretaking and/or building maintenance experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software
  • Able to take direction and work with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act an asset
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and own vehicle preferred

Please note: to be considered for this position, you must be available to work on-site in Guelph and report to the Cambridge Tribe office. This is not a remote position.
