Caretaker/Site Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a part-time Caretaker to join our team at Tribe Management, responsible for maintaining a 100-unit residential townhouse complex in Guelph, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer all aspects of property operations in accordance with established procedures and instructions from the Property Manager.
  • Collaborate with onsite staff to ensure a high standard of professionalism is maintained.
  • Handle move-in/move-out and bank deposit processes.
  • Coordinate with vendors and maintenance personnel.
  • Clean common areas and assist with minor repairs.
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs.
  • Conduct basic landscaping tasks.
  • Issue purchase orders for work and supplies, and supervise contractors.
  • Prepare incident reports for accidents, altercations, and property damage.
  • Respond to emergencies on a 24-hour basis during the workweek.
  • Schedule and supervise move-ins and outs of rental units.
  • Maintain accurate tenant files and collect rents.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of caretaking and/or building maintenance experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
  • Able to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and own vehicle preferred.

Please note: To be considered for this position, you must be available to work on-site in Guelph and report to the Cambridge office. This is not a remote position.
