The Role
We are seeking a part-time Caretaker to service a 100-unit residential townhouse complex in Guelph, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of professionalism and ensuring the property is well-maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Administer all aspects of property maintenance, including minor repairs and cleaning of common areas.
  • Work cooperatively with other onsite staff to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Handle move-in/move-out processes and bank deposits.
  • Arrange and organize vendors and work with maintenance staff.
  • Perform basic landscaping and minor plumbing repairs.
  • Issue purchase orders for work and/or supplies and supervise contractors.
  • Prepare incident reports related to accidents, altercations, and damage to the property.
  • Deal with emergencies on a 24-hour basis during the workweek.
  • Schedule and supervise move-in and out of rental units.
  • Maintain accurate tenant files and collect rents.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of caretaking and/or building maintenance experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Computer proficient and able to learn new software.
  • Able to take direction and work well with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and own vehicle preferred.

Please note: To be considered for this position, you must be available to work on-site in Guelph and report to the Cambridge Tribe office. This is not a remote position.
