About the Role

We are seeking a part-time Caretaker to join our team at Tribe Management, specializing in strata and rental management services. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of a 100-unit residential townhouse complex in Guelph, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative work involved in the operation of the Property, following procedures and instructions from the Property Manager.
  • Collaborate with onsite staff to maintain a high standard of professionalism.
  • Handle Move in/ Move out and bank deposits processes.
  • Arrange and organize vendors and work with maintenance.
  • Clean common areas and assist with minor repairs.
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs.
  • Basic landscaping, including lawn mowing and weeding.
  • Issue Purchase Orders for work and/or supplies and supervise contractors.
  • Prepare detailed Incident Reports.
  • Deal with emergencies on a 24hr basis during the workweek.
  • Schedule and supervise move in and outs of rental units.
  • Maintain accurate tenant files and collect rents.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of caretaking and/or building maintenance experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Computer proficient and ability to learn new software.
  • Able to take direction and work well with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and own vehicle preferred.

Please note: to be considered for this position, you must be available to work on-site in Guelph and report to the Cambridge Tribe office. This is not a remote position.
