We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Leader to join our team at Mohawk College of Applied Arts & Technology. As Associate Dean, Nursing, you will provide academic and administrative leadership to ensure innovative, high-quality education that prepares graduates for success in the ever-evolving healthcare industry.

This role will collaborate with faculty, students, and healthcare partners to advance the college's mission and elevate its nursing programs. You will oversee the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of nursing programs, including Personal Support Worker, Practical Nursing, and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) in partnership with McMaster University.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership in the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of nursing programs.
  • Ensure all programs meet accreditation standards and regulatory requirements set by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and other governing bodies.
  • Lead curriculum innovation, incorporating emerging trends and best practices in nursing education and healthcare delivery.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and student success.

Requirements:

  • A master's degree in Nursing (or a related field) and current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Ontario are required.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive administrative or management experience, preferably in the post-secondary education or healthcare sectors.
  • Strong follow-through skills, with a highly organized approach to managing multiple programs and initiatives.
  • Proven experience in mentoring teams and driving a high-performance, healthy culture within a complex environment.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ-i), with a collaborative leadership style that promotes inclusivity and teamwork.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards, quality assurance processes, and trends in nursing and healthcare.
  • Experience fostering a supportive, inclusive, and diverse learning and working environment.
