Academic Physician Leader

The Department of Medicine at McMaster University invites applications for the position of full-time Academic Geriatrician. We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative individual to further advance the clinical and academic success of the Division of Geriatrics and Department of Medicine. The successful candidate will possess strong teaching and leadership skills, with a passion for education at all levels. They will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative educational programs, as well as contributing to the research and quality improvement initiatives within the division.
The Academic Geriatrician will be based within the Hamilton Health Sciences network, which offers specialized geriatric services, including outpatient clinics and inpatient consultation services. The position offers enhanced benefits and remuneration will be commensurate with academic rank and position duties and responsibilities. Academic rank will be commensurate with the applicant's experience.
Applicants should be certified in geriatric medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or an equivalent designation. Applicants must also hold (or be eligible for) an independent license through CPSO in the Province of Ontario.
As a member of the Division of Geriatric Medicine, the Academic Geriatrician will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of healthcare professionals and contribute to the development of innovative clinical and educational programs. They will be expected to maintain a high level of clinical expertise and contribute to the division's research and quality improvement initiatives.
