We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at COGIR Immobilier. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and codes of ethics
- Assist in evaluating and adjusting therapeutic nursing plans for residents requiring special clinical care
- Create and maintain meticulous notes in related Dossiers in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmières du Québec (OIIQ)
- Ensure good communication and medical follow-ups with vested parties
- Promote and advocate for proactive care among residents
- Provide healthcare and wellness services to maintain and restore residents' health and prevent illness
- Respond to emergency situations
- Take part in clinical assessments of residents and update treatment plans according to their specific needs
- Collect degree in nursing (DEC) or a professional studies diploma (DEP) in healthcare assistance, nursing
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
- Good sense of interpersonal communication
- Geriatric experience, an asset
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience
- Member of the OIIAQ or the OIIQ
- Up-to-date CPR/AED training certificates
