Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Cogir Immobilier. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring the health and well-being of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and codes of ethics
  • Update residents' medical dossiers and prescriptions upon request by residents' doctors or pharmacists
  • Ensure good communication and medical follow-ups with vested parties
  • Help maintain relationships of trust with residents' family and friends, as well as with various stakeholders
  • Assist in evaluating and adjusting therapeutic nursing plans for residents requiring special clinical care
  • Promote and advocate for proactive care among residents
  • Participate in clinical assessments of residents and update treatment plans according to their specific needs
  • Identify and transmit needs of the service department
  • Provide healthcare and wellness services to maintain and restore residents' health and prevent illness
  • Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies
  • Create and maintain meticulous notes in related dossiers in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmières du Québec (OIIQ)
  • Respond to all emergency situations

Requirements
  • Collect degree in nursing (DEC) or a professional studies diploma (DEP) in healthcare assistance, nursing
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
  • Good sense of interpersonal communication
  • Geriatric experience, an asset
  • Member of the OIIAQ or the OIIQ
  • Up-to-date CPR/AED training certificates
