POSITION DESCRIPTION:

the Jazz Drummondville residence has the pleasure of welcoming a golden clientele, autonomous or losing their autonomy. There is a warm and friendly atmosphere where we feel at home. It is the opportunity to be recognized, valued, to participate in the continuous improvement of the service and to make a significant difference in the daily lives of seniors We are currently looking for a talented Auxiliary Nurse who cares about the health of residents.

Permanent full-time position, 7/15, day and evening and weekends as needed.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies
  • Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics
  • Assist in evaluating and adjusting therapeutic nursing plans (TNPs) for residents requiring special clinical care
  • Create and maintain metuculous notes in related Dossiers in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmières du Québec (OIIQ)
  • Ensure good communication as well as medical follow-ups with the vested parties
  • Help maintain the relationship of trust with residents' family and friends as well as with various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.)
  • Identify and transmit the needs of the service department
  • Promote and advocate for proactive care among residents
  • Provide healthcare and wellness services to maintain and restore residents health and to help prevent illness
  • Respond to all emergency situations
  • Take part in the clinical assessments of residents and update treatment plans according to their specific needs
  • Upon request by the residents doctor or pharmacist, update the residents medical dossiers and prescriptions
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Collect degree in nursing (DEC) or a proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
  • Good sense of interpersonal communication
  • Geriatric experience, an asset
  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years experience
  • Member of the OIIAQ or the or OIIQ
  • Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
