Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner - Geriatric Care to join our team at Cogir Immobilier. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and codes of ethics
  • Update residents' medical dossiers and prescriptions upon request by their doctor or pharmacist
  • Ensure good communication and medical follow-ups with residents, their families, and healthcare providers
  • Assist in evaluating and adjusting therapeutic nursing plans for residents requiring special clinical care
  • Promote proactive care among residents and take part in clinical assessments
  • Identify and transmit the needs of the service department
  • Provide healthcare and wellness services to maintain and restore residents' health
  • Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies

Requirements
  • Degree in nursing (DEC) or professional studies diploma (DEP) in healthcare assistance, nursing
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
  • Good sense of interpersonal communication
  • Geriatric experience, an asset
  • Member of the OIIAQ or OIIQ
  • Up-to-date CPR/AED training certificates
