About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Practical Nurse to join our team at the Jazz Drummondville residence. As a Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their health and well-being, and supporting their independence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and codes of ethics
- Update residents' medical dossiers and prescriptions upon request by their doctor or pharmacist
- Ensure good communication and medical follow-ups with vested parties
- Maintain relationships of trust with residents' family and friends, as well as with various stakeholders
- Assist in evaluating and adjusting therapeutic nursing plans for residents requiring special clinical care
- Promote proactive care among residents
- Participate in clinical assessments of residents and update treatment plans according to their specific needs
- Identify and transmit needs of the service department
- Provide healthcare and wellness services to maintain and restore residents' health and prevent illness
- Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies
- Create and maintain meticulous notes in related dossiers in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmières du Québec (OIIQ)

Requirements:

- Collect degree in nursing (DEC) or a professional studies diploma (DEP) in healthcare assistance, nursing
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
- Good sense of interpersonal communication
- Geriatric experience, an asset
- Member of the OIIAQ or the OIIQ
- Up-to-date CPR/AED training certificates
