It is the opportunity to be recognized, valued, to participate in the continuous improvement of the service and to make a significant difference in the daily lives of elderly people We are currently looking for a talented Practical Nurse who cares about the health of residents.Permanent full-time position, 7/15, days and evenings and weekends as needed. Specifically, your daily life with us will look like : Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics Upon request by the residents doctor or pharmacist, update the residents medical dossiers and prescriptions Ensure good communication as well as medical follow-ups with the vested parties Help maintain the relationship of trust with residents' family and friends as well as with various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.) Assist in evaluating and adjusting therapeutic nursing plans (TNPs) for residents requiring special clinical care Promote and advocate for proactive care among residents Take part in the clinical assessments of residents and update treatment plans according to their specific needs Identify and transmit the needs of the service department Provide healthcare and wellness services to maintain and restore residents health and to help prevent illness Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies Create and maintain metuculous notes in related Dossiers in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmières du Québec (OIIQ) Respond to all emergency situations

Required qualifications :
Collect degree in nursing (DEC) or a proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing Basic computer skills Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset Good sense of interpersonal communication Geriatric experience, an asset Member of the OIIAQ or the or OIIQ Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
