Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead and manage all aspects of Institutional construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate and monitor the activities of sub-trades, supplies, and labor materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Institutional construction projects from start to finish
  • Maintain a high level of health and safety on the job site
  • Coordinate and monitor the activities of sub-trades, supplies, and labor materials
  • Create and update progress schedules
  • Prepare regular job reports for job meetings
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders involved
  • Resolve any issues on-site

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive construction experience, mainly with ICI construction management/general contractor firms in the GTA
  • Experience completing Institutional construction projects ranging in value from $20M-$50M
  • Post-secondary diploma in a construction-related discipline
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of different construction methods, sequencing, potential problems, and timelines
  • Knowledge of relevant construction law and building code
  • Asset: Gold Seal, LEED, or PMP certification
