PCL Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Project Manager to join our Toronto district office. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering major development projects in Toronto.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project safety programs, fostering a culture of safety and mentorship.
  • Lead the pursuit of new work through estimates, collaborations with trade contractors, and proposals.
  • Oversee quality management plans and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities on construction projects.
  • Manage project teams, client representatives, consultants, and trade contractors.
  • Monitor project performance, including safety, cost forecasts, and schedules.
  • Assist in obtaining comprehensive design-management and design-quality plans, conducting periodic quality audits.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, managing expectations and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or training in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive construction experience, with multiple contract delivery types as a leader and mentor.
  • Experience in estimating civil and infrastructure projects, managing civil-related structures, and transit projects.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture and in-depth knowledge of construction industry practices.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Effective relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
