PCL Constructors Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Project Manager to join our Toronto district office. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering major development projects in Toronto.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project safety programs, fostering a culture of safety and mentorship.
  • Lead the pursuit of new work through estimates, collaborations with trade contractors, and proposal development.
  • Oversee quality management plans and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Identify client drivers and provide value engineering proposals for cost, schedule, and functionality benefits.
  • Monitor project performance, including safety, cost forecasts, and schedules.
  • Manage risk and opportunities on construction projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with project teams, clients, consultants, and trade contractors.
  • Ensure design compliance, quality, coordination, constructability, and timely deliverables.
  • Conduct quality audits and maintain design-management and design-quality plans.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, managing expectations and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or training in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive construction experience, with multiple contract delivery types and leadership experience preferred.
  • Estimating experience in civil and infrastructure projects is an asset.
  • Experience managing civil-related structures, transit projects, and facilities is essential.
  • Design-build experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing a strong safety culture, applying health, safety, and environment principles and legislation.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry practices, including building materials, specifications, methods, and procedures.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Effective relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
