As a critical care nurse, you will provide direct patient care to patients with complex critical care needs, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
Responsibilities- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans, prioritizing patient needs and collaborating with the interprofessional care team to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
- Collaborate with patients and their families to educate them on their condition, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of applicable post-graduate coursework or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
