Job Summary
Mackenzie Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to join our team in a dynamic Mental Health Outpatient Clinic setting. As an Administrative Coordinator, you will provide clerical and administrative support to maintain a progressive, efficient, and organized healthcare environment that enhances the patient and staff experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to nursing and other hospital staff, including data entry, scheduling appointments, and communicating with staff, patients, and families.
- Operate, maintain, and order office and hospital equipment and supplies in a fast-paced setting.
- Input data information for admissions, transfers, and discharges, including entering consults, printing labels, and completing work lists on EPIC.
- Respond to telephone inquiries and provide excellent customer service skills.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Prior experience in an administrative/clerical role, preferably within a mental health healthcare environment.
- Keyboarding skills (40 wpm).
- Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively de-escalate situations.
- Proven attendance record.
- Understanding and compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience within the Administrative Coordinator classification.
- EPIC, EPF, ESP experience.
