About the Role

This is a permanent position with 30-40 hours of work per week, offering a competitive salary and opportunities for professional growth. As a Dental Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice, working closely with our dentists and other support staff to deliver excellent patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatments, making them feel comfortable and relaxed.
  • Maintain and order dental supplies, ensuring we have everything needed to provide top-notch care.
  • Assist with reception and clerical duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, promoting healthy smiles and preventative care.
  • Publish teeth, clinical crowns, and apply fluoride and sealants, helping our patients achieve optimal oral health.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring seamless communication between patients and our dental team.
  • Take and develop X-rays, using this diagnostic tool to identify potential issues early.
  • Record dental procedures performed on patients, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts, an essential step in creating personalized treatment plans.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • You possess a college diploma or certificate from a recognized program (1-2 years).
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments, staying focused and composed under pressure.
  • You have manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail, essential skills for your role.
  • You're experienced, but not required - we welcome candidates at various stages of their careers.
