Location: Radiant Care Tabor Manor Nursing Department

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Personal Support Worker to join our team at Radiant Care Tabor Manor. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide safe and efficient personal care for residents, including all activities of daily living, to ensure their optimum physical, social, recreational, spiritual, and psychological well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and efficient personal care for residents, including all activities of daily living.
  • Effectively communicate with residents, staff, and families.
  • Provide excellent customer service in a respectful, courteous, and pleasant manner.
  • Provide individualized service in a home-like setting.
  • Adapt to changing needs of residents and adjust service delivery as required under the direction of the ADOC/DOC.
  • Observe and report changes in resident's status.
  • Record necessary data on resident health and provision of service.
  • Share responsibility for care of equipment in the home and personal belongings of residents.
  • Work co-operatively with team members.
  • Receive direction from registered staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, in-service sessions, training as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Training and education in caring for seniors in long-term care.
  • Demonstrated experience in caring for seniors in long-term care.
  • Current CPR Certification an asset.
  • Valid PSW Certification.
