About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Systems Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our IM/IT department, you will be responsible for the requirement gathering, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support for clinical information management and technology solutions.

You will work closely with our clinical and business stakeholders to collaborate on the rationalization of disparate systems and the implementation of our OPOR strategy. Your expertise in application programming, systems analysis, and business analysis will be essential in evaluating requests for change, troubleshooting system issues, and communicating system changes to end users.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong background in healthcare information systems and terminology. If you have a degree or diploma in an Information Technology, Business Analysis, or Health Related discipline, and 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate requests for change and implement system solutions
  • Collaborate with clinical and business stakeholders to rationalize disparate systems
  • Communicate system changes to end users
  • Document and troubleshoot system issues

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in application programming, systems analysis, or business analysis
  • Experience with healthcare information systems and terminology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
