Senior Systems Analyst

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our IM/IT department, you will be responsible for evaluating, designing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting information management and technology solutions, projects, and services across our organization and its external clients.
You will collaborate with clinical and business stakeholders throughout the province to support the rationalization of disparate systems and the implementation of our OPOR strategy. Your expertise will be essential in providing high-quality IT applications aligned with our strategic mission, vision, and goals.
Key responsibilities will include evaluating requests for change, data retrieval and optimization opportunities, troubleshooting and resolving application errors and system issues, developing materials and communicating system changes to end users, and building and maintaining system configuration items in line with best practice and stakeholder approvals.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary range of $37.61 - $47.01 hourly. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
About YouWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a degree or diploma in an Information Technology, Business Analysis, or Health-related discipline. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Technology, Business Analysis, or Health-related field is required, with 2+ years' experience in application programming, systems analysis, business analysis, or systems support.
Certification in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management (PMP), and/or organizational change management is an asset. Experience supporting clinical application systems and related services in a complex healthcare organizational environment is also considered an asset.
You will have the ability to relay or explain complex issues or difficult scenarios to clinical and business staff, as well as a working knowledge of basic systems principles, theories, and concepts within healthcare. Strong knowledge of healthcare and technology industry best practice relating to software applications is also required.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for influencing and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to solve high-risk, complex issues, and creating summary documentation based on evaluation and analysis. Experience in transformational or process analysis to support change management principles is also an asset.
