Systems Analyst

The Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health organization is seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst to join their team. This role will be responsible for the requirement gathering, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support for primarily clinical information management and technology solutions and functions across the organization.
The successful candidate will work closely with clinical and business stakeholders to collaborate on the rationalization of disparate systems and the implementation of the OPOR strategy. This will involve evaluating requests for change, troubleshooting and assisting with the resolution of application errors and other system issues, developing materials and communicating system changes to end users, and building and maintaining all system configuration items in line with best practice and appropriate stakeholder approvals.
About YouWe are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a degree or diploma in an Information Technology, Business Analysis or Health Related discipline. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years' experience in application programming, systems analysis, business analysis or systems support, as well as experience with healthcare information systems and terminology. Certification in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management (PMP), and/or organizational change management is an asset.
The successful candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and document issues, problems and implement resolution. They will also have the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to document and solve issues, and possess organizational skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
HoursThis is a long-assignment, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The assignment length is approximately 12 months, but is subject to change.
Compensation and BenefitsThe successful candidate will be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. The hourly rate for this position is $33.14 - $41.42.
