Job Description

The Public Safety Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the Town of Mont-Royal. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for receiving calls, handling requests, and transmitting them to the designated department according to departmental policies.

Responsibilities:
  • Receive, log, and dispatch calls from the call center, including calls from the Town of Hampstead Public Security or other partners.
  • Perform monitoring of the Town's cameras on monitors.
  • Monitor the Town's security systems, including video surveillance, access controls, alarms, emergency intercom, etc.
  • Serve citizens at the Public Safety counter 24/7.
  • Provide information to citizens and other callers by telephone.
  • Issue overnight parking permits.
  • Input relevant information to service databases.
  • Maintain a list of vacant houses.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma (DES) or equivalent is required.
  • Possess six (6) months to less than one year of experience in a job that allows the incumbent to become familiar with the field of employment.
  • French and English language proficiency is necessary, spoken and written.
  • Radio system knowledge is also required.
Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per annum
