Maintenance Worker, Building

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker, Building to join our team at Days Inn. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's maintenance and repair functions.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing hallways, floors, and stairs.
- Equipment Operation: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and other refuse, and perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
- Supervision: Supervise other workers and ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to guests and colleagues, and respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Safety and Security: Perform safety and security checks, and report any issues or concerns to management.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform other routine maintenance jobs, such as painting and drywall repair, and water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
- Language: English.
This is a permanent, full-time position, working 30 to 44 hours per week. The work environment is a hotel, motel, or resort setting.
