Job Summary

The British Columbia Institute of Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Donor Relations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with our donors, stakeholders, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Donor Stewardship
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive stewardship program to build long-term relationships with donors.
    • Plan and execute fundraising appeals, including managing project timelines, identifying target audiences, and evaluating the effectiveness of appeals.
  • Fundraising and Event Planning
    • Participate in annual goal setting for the development team and develop and implement fundraising and stewardship deliverables.
    • Lead the planning and execution of donor recognition events, including developing event plans, budgets, agendas, and themes.
  • Administrative Support
    • Provide administrative support to the development team, including coordinating and maintaining donor records, preparing reports, and making recommendations for improvements.
    • Participate in records custodian training and remain current with record-keeping practices, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Education
    • Completion of two years post-secondary education or diploma in marketing and communications, fundraising, or business administration.
  • Experience
    • Two years general experience plus four years' experience in a similar position, including specific experience in fundraising and special event planning and coordination.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Experience and ability in preparing and delivering presentations to internal and external groups.
    • Proven ability to plan, prioritize, implement, oversee, and coordinate multiple projects.
