Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented External Relations Coordinator to join our team at Trans Mountain. As a Co-Op Student, you will have the opportunity to work with a progressive group of Stakeholder Engagement and Communications professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the development of new and updated content for stakeholder engagement initiatives.
  • Draft documents, including plans, reports, correspondence, briefing notes, and presentations.
  • Process materials through approvals and support events and conferences, including logistics, attendance, and monitoring.
  • Support public engagement, issues management, and information-sharing activities.
  • Support the Community Investment Program and Public Awareness Program through implementing program enhancements, data entry, and performing additional tasks as needed.
  • Research, prepare, and update contact lists.
  • Coordinate damage prevention and other mail outs.
  • Support record keeping and submissions to the Borealis database.
  • Support crisis communications activities.

Qualifications and Professional Experience:

  • Actively enrolled in Communications, Public Relations, Stakeholder Engagement, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to accurately analyze information.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Opportunity for a cornerstone project for student's portfolio, project will be based on student interest and business need.
  • Driver's license.
