Job OverviewThe Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a critical role in providing end-to-end HR services to leaders and employees. As the primary point of contact, the HRBP engages, coaches, and educates clients on HR matters, providing strategic consultation and support for HR programs such as labor relations, talent and succession planning, and employee engagement.
The successful candidate will be passionate about leading change, curious about the mining industry and diamond business, and committed to advancing our strategic goals. They will demonstrate exceptional self-awareness and personal leadership, with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a partner, people champion, and change agent, aligning business strategy with HR services and solutions.
- Facilitate the deployment and execution of cyclical HR program activities, including performance management, compensation cycles, talent management, and succession planning.
- Promote awareness, provide guidance, and identify opportunities to improve compliance with legislated programs, policies, and processes.
- Support the business in building and maintaining a strong organizational culture and continuously improving the employee experience and engagement.
- Assist clients in preventing and resolving HR-related issues through coaching on conflict management techniques.
- Identify change management issues, develop, and execute change management strategies.
- Assist the client group in understanding relevant HR metrics to identify causal relationships and develop strategies to drive improvement.
- Completed post-secondary education in a related field, such as Human Resources Management, organizational studies, labor relations, and/or business management/administration.
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation and/or Human Resources Management Certificate are considered strong assets for this role.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant functional experience in human resources as a generalist.
- 3 or more years of experience working in a unionized environment, with experience with grievances and contract negotiations.
- Solid understanding and knowledge of employment legislation, HR trends, issues, and best practices.
- Experience using data and analytics to provide recommendations to clients.
