Job Title: HR Employee Centre Advisor

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external clients via email and phone channels.
  • Process transactions and data entries related to an employee's working life.
  • Provide education and guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the HR team to deliver on HR initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on HR data administration, benefit administration, and employee records.
  • Document and update processes and best practices.
  • Identify and address process inefficiencies.
  • Work in a team environment where mutual support is essential.
  • Communicate effectively with employees and managers at all levels.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a College or University diploma/degree in a related field (e.g. Business, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources).
  • Experience working with technical applications such as Workday or other HRIS/HRMS.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience or related experience.
  • Experience providing guidance and counsel to employees during the stages of their employment cycle.
  • Advanced skills and experience with computer applications particularly with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams.
Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Progressive human resources knowledge acquired through education, training, and/or experience.
  • Knowledge of various NAV CANADA collective bargaining agreements, corporate policies, and practices related to employee compensation.
  • Knowledge of general HR procedures and practices including but not limited to: HR data administration, benefit administration, handling of confidential or sensitive information, and employee records.
  • Ability to respect confidentiality of information and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to work independently, but also in a team environment where mutual support is essential.
  • Ability to anticipate upcoming service demands and to address people issues in a constructive manner.
  • Ability to analyze evidence and facts in making decisions.
  • Ability to work and evolve in an environment that is constantly changing.
