Job Title: Government IT Business Analyst

First Tek, Inc. is seeking a skilled Government IT Business Analyst to join our team. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications, ensuring seamless project delivery.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong background in developing integrated systems and technical design specifications. They will also have 3 years of experience in facilitating and managing business process development and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead consultations and facilitate stakeholder meetings to gather requirements from diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Create business requirements, functional specifications, and technical requirements to support project delivery.
  • Develop new business and technical processes, and complete business process reviews/re-engineering for existing processes.
  • Facilitate business process improvement sessions to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Assist in the development of new IT services, and provide support by bridging communication between vendors, client ministries, and corporate technical and business teams.
  • Escalate unresolved issues/risks, options, and recommendations to ensure project delivery.
Requirements
  • 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
  • 3 years of experience in developing integrated systems and technical design specifications.
  • 5 years of experience in facilitating and managing business process development and process improvement initiatives.
  • 5 years of experience in gathering requirements from diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • 5 years of experience with written and verbal communications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum.
  • Knowledge of business architecture design, software system specifications design, and database modeling.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
